Beginner’s Courses

As a club we run beginners courses continually throughout the year for all ages. A beginner’s course costs £45 for both adults and juniors. The start date of our next Beginners course is 06/05/2018

Content:

The six session course is designed to allow students to experience the sport of Archery with a variety of different bows and shooting styles. We will cover safety, etiquette, technique both sighted and barebow, basic equipment knowledge, scoring and competitive archery.

Depending on the time of year you will have the opportunity to shoot indoors at 18 Meters (typical indoor distance) and/or outdoors and to score your first round.

On completion of the course you should have a good appreciation of archery safety and basic awareness of good shooting posture.  After the course you have two options; either stop shooting or we hope that you will register as a club member and continue to shoot independently.

For students joining Archers of Underwood, the beginners club equipment is available to use until the archers feels it is time to purchase their own equipment (a small rental charge applies ) whether new or second hand.  Club members are always available to give advice if needed.

Includes:

6 x weekly 1 hr sessions during our Sunday afternoon club shoot (start 1pm), equipment hire, insurance and instruction.

Unfortunately we can’t offer different times, as we don’t have the resources for this.
